  Today is the 15th, I received a call to confirm an appointment for the 17th. I informed the office I needed to cancel. I was then told that since it was less than 72 hours I would be charged $35. That is ridiculous, I was never told of such a policy. The office told me they instituted this policy 6 months ago and sent emails to their patients. First off we have only had 1 office visit over 6 months ago and never received an email for this policy. I do not recommend this office to anyone.

  We have used Dr. Jeff for the last 5 years for both of our kids. We were never happy with their billing. They insisted on having us pay up front and then having the insurance company send a reimbursement check. They recently double -billed a visit. After we paid their bill in full, out of pocket, they submitted the claim to the insurance company and were reimbursed 80%. We never got a refund for our over-payment or notice of it. They gave us a "credit" towards future services, which I only found out about when I went in looking for the money. Yesterday, they charged me a $75 "co-pay" for each kid (even after the previously mentioned credit!).I called my insurance company who assured me I had a zero copay, which I had explained to them at the time. Today, when I went in to dispute it, they said this was "OUR co-pay". I told them that is tricking people into paying their bill up front. They had no answer. They also had no answer for why the previous charge was double-billed. Very shady billing practices. We are taking the kids to our "adult" dentist from now on. No cute toys or movies, but at least we wont need to watch every penny.

  Dr. Ginsberg is brilliant! We wouldn't take our girls anywhere else. The whole office is designed and decorated with children in mind, so they are immediately put at ease. The hygienists have a superb bedside manner - they are gentle and encouraging while emphasizing the importance of brushing and flossing... plus the promise of a goody bag with a new toothbrush, toy, and sticker is always a great incentive!
